>Bro Turner I did not receive any message with this e-mail
... because she doesn't have a MIME compliant e-mail reader
there at work. She has what she is able to use at here place
of employment.
Officially, the Higher-Fire Netiquette document says this
about MIME attachments....(which we've gotten away from
but we really need to clamp down on this and not allow any
e-mail attachments ... just plain text that everybody
can read) ...
--------------------------------------------------------
Does the post you're sending have "attachments"?
You may or may not realize it, but your e-mail client may
very well be sending your e-mail in "chunks" called
"attachments". It's common to have e-mail delivered in MIME
format. MIME stands for Multipart Internet Message Extension
(I think). Also, your e-mail client may also *code* your
messages in some kind of cryptography or html enhancements.
Or, you may have a really great testimony that's in a MS Word
document that you'd like to share with everyone on the list.
If any of these are the case, you can be pretty well assured
that you're post won't be approved by the moderators.
Why?
Because not everybody on the list has software that will
successfuly decode the attachment. A very real situation. Also,
realize that if you've attached a word processing document, the
listprocessor will often garble the attachment to the point where
it'll be completely unusable.
You'll probably be warned from the moderators about attachments
before they just start discarding the message from distribution.
If there's a setting for your e-mail client, set it to "Plain Text".
That is the combination that works best for all.
--------------------------------------------------------
O.k.... so ... what does this mean? Well, it means that if we
moderators see just about any of the following ...
1) attachments in H-F e-mail
2) special formatting (like embedded html) used as stationary
in many Microsoft programs (and others as well)
3) or any other kind of MIME boundary which segments a piece
of e-mail up into different segments that can be interpreted
separately
... you'll probably be asked to re-post it in plain text.
For further assistance to de-MIME-ify your e-mail client, just
go out to the Higher-Fire archives web-site at ...
http://www.higherfire.org
... and click on the "Posting Guidelines" link in the left-hand
nav column. Then when the main body of the browser refreshes,
you'll see several articles that show how to de-MIME many of the
current e-mail clients (Netscape Navigator, Netscape Communicator,
MS Outlook, MS Outlook Express) so that you can send wonderfully
plain e-mail to the list.
Many thanks.

Greetings all:
I am offering service to list members who would like a custom-made
lead sheets to any praise and worship song you request. This is not a
commercial operation, and is free of charge. Some of you may need a
lead sheet to teach your musicians a new song, or you may want a lead
sheet to help your learn/play a song yourself to the Lord.
The lead sheets will show you the words to the song, the author's
copyright notice if applicable, and of course, will show the Chord
markings above the words. The lead sheet will not have any music to
read, or melody line. So this will not be of much help if you are a
sight reader. If you know how to play chords, and someone else can
carry the melody for you, then this may be for you.
I will need the following to make a lead sheet for you:
1) I will either have to know the song already myself, or
2) If I don't know the song, you will have to provide me a recording
of the song.
So, if this can be of service you any of you, zap me a line in
private. In the meantime, pray, and watch the coming release of the
prophetic and davidic worship the Lord is pouring on His church!
