The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal

The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal will begin publication June 1, 1999.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal is to present the
Apostolic Pentecostal faith from a moderate perspective to greater
Christendom and the world, to engage Apostolics in a critical and
constructive dialogue about their faith, and to promote reconciliation
among Pentecostals who share a common heritage.  The Apostolic
Pentecostal Journal is a cyberjournal publishing exclusively on the
internet at www.apostolicpentecostal.com.

Article Submission

The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal is not a personal web site but a forum
where moderate Apostolics can freely express and discuss their faith. 
The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal is open to receive contributions from
Apostolic Pentecostals, Trinitarian Pentecostals, and other Christians
who desire to dialogue about the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. Articles
submitted for publication should be well written, informed, and
demonstrate respect for the diversity of faith which exists in
Christendom.

The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal will maintain a professional
appearance.   The following guidelines should be followed:  1)  only
Times New Roman 12 point font should be used;  2)  the first two lines
should be centered and contain the article title in bold followed by the
author's name underneath and a double space; 3) all text should be
single spaced;  4)  paragraphs should not be indented but separated by a
double space;   and  5) articles should conclude with a brief, 3 or 4
sentence, biographical paragraph.

All quotations and acknowledgment of other authors should be referenced
within the text according to the following format:  (author's last name,
page number).  If more than one work by an author is cited a key word
from the title of the author's work should be included: (Bernard,
Holiness, 150).  Quotations should not be indented or separated from the
text.  Excessive quotation should be avoided.

Articles which site other authors should include a bibliography at the
end of the article.  Bibliographies should adhere to the following
format:

1)  Bibliography in bold heading, centered, followed by a double space.

2)  Single author: author's last name, first name.  Title of work. 
Publisher or Publication name.  Date of Publication.

3)  Two or more authors:  author's last name, first name, and first
name, last name of additional authors.  Title of Work.  Publisher or
Publication name.  Date of Publication.

4)  Internet article:  author's last name, first name.  Title of
Article.  Web site name and URL.  Date found on the internet.

5) The Bibliography should be presented in alphabetical order by
author's last name.

5)  Each entry should be separated by a double space.

Please do not hesitate to contact the editor if you have questions about
the format.  Manuscripts which do not follow the above format and/or
require extensive revisions will be returned and not published.

Manuscripts should be limited to 15 pages. Only exceptional manuscripts
longer than 15 pages will be published.

Manuscripts may be submitted for publication via e-mail,
apj@apostolicpentecostal.com, or via regular mail, The
Apostolic Pentecostal Journal, P.O. Box 275, Kerman, CA 93630.
Manuscripts will only be returned if submitted bu e-mail or accompanied
by a stamped self addressed envelope.

The editor reserves the right to determine which manuscripts will be
published in The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal and to make changes in
the format and grammar of all manuscripts.  Published manuscripts will
not be edited for content.

New volumes of The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal will begin quarterly
in October, January, April, and June.  Manuscripts will be published
within four weeks of their reception and approval for publication. 

The Apostolic Pentecostal Journal is a venture of faith.  Your prayers,
criticism, and comments are needed and desired.
