Hmmmmmmm.... I think it says ...

Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other
gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you,
        let him be accursed.

... so, I guess it says to preach the gospel that Paul preached. "Gospel"
it says.... not doctrine. Doctrine includes man interpretations of what
is gleaned from the bible in combination with current cultural influences
plus heritage of the apostolic chain that brings the apostolic notions to
the individual. "Gospel" is the "good news of Jesus" about how He came to
save us from ourselves that we might walk in faith, love, and righteousness.

The reason why I'm declaring that "gospel" is different from "doctrine"
is the fact that the churches around (christian churches) have basically
the same gospel. Jesus came, Jesus became sin for us, Jesus was the
sacrifice for our sins, Jesus died, Jesus was buried, Jesus arose to
new life. Gospel in a nutshell. It doesn't matter at the core of the
gospel whether there's a oneness of God or not or whatever. The message
of the gospel doesn't initially focus on doctrinal interpretations, it
focuses on Jesus.

Doctrine, to me, shows how the gospel is applied to everyday life.
Certainly Baptists and Apostolics have different doctrine but they have
a core gospel. Amongst apostolics, doctrine doesn't even match from
church to church or even organization to organization. But amongst
apostolics, there's even a core *doctrine* of application of what Jesus
did for us and minimum requirements we have to enjoy in order to stay
apostolic in our assemblies. Outside of the core *doctrine* amongst
apostolics, the docrine that the apostolics enjoy is as much diverse as
it is outside of the apostolic movement.

That doesn't mean that doctrine is bad by any means. Because we see
that ...

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
          for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished
          unto all good works.

... so it's necessary to correctly form doctrine. As there is
rightly divided/formed doctrine and wrongly divided/formed
doctrine. The place where I think doctrine falls apart is when
the *formed* doctrine supercedes or discounts that which is in
Holy Scripture as it says ...

Re 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of
the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto
these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that
          are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book
of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the
book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things
which are written in this book.

... which is a grave error when things are functionally added to
the mythical *perfect* christian walk that aren't there ... and
things are *dismissed* from the christian walk that should be paid
attention to.
