"Gospel"
>it says.... not doctrine. Doctrine includes man interpretations of
what
>is gleaned from the bible in combination with current cultural
influences
>plus heritage of the apostolic chain that brings the apostolic notions
to
>the individual. "Gospel" is the "good news of Jesus" about how He came
to
>save us from ourselves that we might walk in faith, love, and
righteousness.

>The reason why I'm declaring that "gospel" is different from "doctrine"
>is the fact that the churches around (christian churches) have
basically
>the same gospel. Jesus came, Jesus became sin for us, Jesus was the
>sacrifice for our sins, Jesus died, Jesus was buried, Jesus arose to
>new life. Gospel in a nutshell.
This is incomplete without the teachings of the Lord after the
ressurection.
>It doesn't matter at the core of the
>gospel whether there's a oneness of God or not or whatever. The
message

>Doctrine, to me, shows how the gospel is applied to everyday life.
In my post on the Great Commission I made the assertion that the
fulfillment of the Great Commission requires an attempt as Peter made on
the Day of Pentecost. Do I understand that you do not call what is
commonly refered to in the Apostolic world as the plan of salvation part
of the gospel. Just how good is the news if you do not include the "but
wait" part where you show then HOW to benefit from the death, burial and
ressurection of the Lord. Without teaching on repentance, baptism and
the infilling of the Holy Ghost your gospel is incomplete as per the
Lord's last recorded commandment to His disciples.
I agree that on post salvation experience issues there can be
differences and that they are almost "personal preferences", but unless
one hears that heavenly language and has seen the person buried with
Christ, then how can one call them saved and know they will one day face
the Lord?
Lord Bless;
Bill
