A Godly Lady

These two paragraphs are taken from a dialogue I had with Sis Lynne
Tuesday, January 26, 1999 on higher-fire.

Sis Lynne, whenever I dialogue with you I am overwhelmed by memories. In
my life there have been several beautiful Apostolic ladies who share
your passion for the Apostolic faith. As I correspond with you I think
of them and their devotion to Jesus Christ, as well as the love they
expressed for me when I was young in the Lord. I could never do
anything to hurt their faith. They prayed me through to the Holy
Ghost. They cried when I was baptized in Jesus name. They prayed for
me that I might not lose my faith when I was in college and seminary.
And I saw their travail, their agony, when others they had worked so
diligently at keeping in the Church backslid and went the way of the
world or into denominal Christianity. Their pain broke my heart.

Sis Lynne, I envision you as such a Godly lady. I do not desire to hurt
your faith in any way. I do not desire you to weaken the resolve with
which you proclaim the Apostolic gospel. All I ask is for you to give
me the opportunity to express what the Lord has laid upon this Apostolic
heart and to judge me fairly. I appreciate you Sister Lynne!

These are still the sentiments of my heart!
