Leadership

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As some of you know I am a young minister at Antioch in
Annapolis, MD. I would like some advice from the list concerning
leadership. (Especially the ministers on the list. Since you deal
with leadership and its difficulties every day you could offer me some
real insight.) I am confident that wherever I minister the Spirit of
the Lord can and will move and minister to people. I've learned that
I can do nothing but by the Father. Since the Father wants to
minister to whoever is there, I have no fear that he will if given the
opportunity. My problem is that I do not understand how to lead
people. I don't have personality problems with people, but I don't
have the correct leadership mentality. I have been more willing to
allow than to lead. What is your mind-set supposed to be when you
lead a service, fellowship group, ministry, ...? How do you deal with
people in the group that would rather lead than follow? Should I
trust that since I am the leader the Lord will show me whatever is to
be done? Not that I would do everything, but that the Lord would show
me what He will do.

I would appreciate any response/experiences that you have or have
been through. I believe that the Lord is working with me in this area
right now. I want to be the best leader that I can be. You can email
me personally if you like.
