                      THE CROSS

The cross, what does it mean?
To the carnal eye, two poles tied together where a man hung in shame.
To the spiritual eye, it is the alter where the sacrifice lamb was
slain.
The splinter, pricking his back,
To the carnal eye, just another torture to cause him pain.
To the spiritual eye, they are anothersin borne by the Lord instead.
The thorns on his head,
To the carnal eye, a mockery of his words.
To the spiritual eye, a symbol of his glory.
The blood that spilled,
To the carnal eye, a stain on their shoes.
To the spiritual eye, the river that washes anew.
His last words,
To the carnal eye, an end to a troublesome man's life.
To the spiritual eye, the begining of hope and eternal life.
Having all said and done, What eye do you see with; the cross
where Jesus died?

Baurch Hashem Adonai!!
