Another Born Again!

Another teen in Apostolic Life's youth class, Dana, will be
baptized tonight in the name of Jesus Christ.  She received
the Holy Ghost at a youth service last Friday.

I was driving north on Vine Street in Urbana yesterday evening
when I saw a big bright billboard telling me to "GET A LIFE."
I glanced at it, continued reading "NEW LIFE" then "Apostolic
Life Church."  Cool -- that's my church ;-)

So, we run about 60 to 70 people on Sundays, own two vans, an
excellent sound system, a web page and even a large billboard
and people are getting saved -- and we're still meeting in a
hotel conference room!  Please pray that we can find a more
permanent meeting place.  The hotel managament is starting to
complain about the bar/lounge patrons we're running off because
our midweek evening services are too loud ;-)

Given that we're getting the hotel room for half price, the
vans were basically donations, the billboard was free, the
sound system was donated, the web space is free, and of course
the salvation we have is free, we're expecting good things
regarding a meeting place.

Also, please pray for the upcoming "Acts Alive 96" community
crusade on Thursday April 25 and Friday 26.  Some nobody
preacher from some southern state named "Wayne Huntley" :-)  :-)
will be delivering the Word of the Lord during this 
evangelistic  endeavor, which is a cooperative thing between
several UPC churches in this area.  The idea is to invite
sinners to visit this service, though typically in the past
Pentecostals from all over Illinois gather here too.  We'll be
meeting at the Urbana Civic Center.

Pray for lost souls in central Illinois!
