Paz de Cristo!

It is with joy that I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  My
name is Bro. Domingo Carlos and I am a two-day-old subscriber to this
discussion list.  As I told Bro. Richard, one of the list moderators,
I am a member of the East Palo Alto Apostolic Church, located in the
Bay Area of California.  Our congregation is part of the Apostolic Assembly
of the Faith in Christ Jesus.  

To my surprise, some of my brethren on this list did not know we are a oneness
organization, or that we even existed.  I am not an official spokesperson
of the Apostolic Assembly, or an ordained minister or even a deacon (I am a 
senior at here at Stonford University and also Vice President of the local 
youth auxiliary group), but I felt compelled to share what I know of our 
Assembly and thereby acquaint those that may not know about us.  Don't look
us up in any handbook, we are most likely not in it.

You may want to ask Bro. Anthony Mangun, Bro. T. F. Tenney, Bro. Kenneth Haney,
Bro. Jeff Arnold, Bro. Murrel Ewing, Bro. Edmund Dyess, and Bro. Lee Stoneking,
who we are. Their messages have ministered to the saints here in Apostolic
Assembly when they have preached at some of our churches, and also at the
End-Time Restoration Conferences, sponsored by Union City Apostolic Church 
(also part of the Apostolic Assembly).  This is just a short list of UPC
brethren who I have heard personally, throughout the years the list is probably
much longer.  Our own Bro. Abel Aguilar, pastor of the Santa Ana
Apostolic Church, has preached a few times at Landmark of Stockton, CA.

The Apostolic Assembly has close to 600 churches in the United States, from
New York to California, from Washington State to Florida, and in Hawaii,
with 70,000 members baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Our Assembly
has scores more of churches through mission work in Europe, Central and
South America.  Our sister church in Mexico, independent from us, the 
Iglesia Apostolica de Mexico, has 1,000 churches in Mexico.

We are predominantly hispanic and our stronghold is in the southwest, where
if I I'm not mistaken the Apostolic Assembly churches outnumber UPC churches.
Our church has its beginnings in the Azusa Street revival of Los Angeles
in 1906.  It was there that Bro. William Seymour of the PAW church shared
the gospel with Bro. Francisco Llorente, the Apostolic Assembly's first
Bishop President, the UPC equivalent would be General Supervisor.  Our
organization began to minister to the Spanish-speaking people, was started
in 1916, and became Incorporated in 1930. 

So what do we believe in anyway?

We believe in one God, and that his name is Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:20
We believe in repentance, and in baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38
We beleive in receiving the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of 
	speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:38-39
We believe and preach holiness.  Hebrews 12:14
We sing with all of our hearts and clap our hands. Psalm 47:1
We believe in the power of God to heal the sick.  St. Mark 16:18
We believe that Jesus Christ is about to take his church.  1 Thes. 4:17

We believe in the Apostolic Doctrine!

I guess that makes me holy ghost-dancing, demon-rebuking, devil-chasing,
aisle-running, pew-hurdling, chandelier-hanging, shaback-shouting,
rapture-awaiting, oneness-believing, holiness-upholding, Jesus name-baptized,
Apostolic-Pentecostal just like y'all.

Perhaps some of you have heard about the annual Nor-Cal Mass Music
Workshop and Live Recording held in Union City Apostolic Church, or 
you may even own some of the CDs.

Well, I feel it coming,
a holy ghost shout of praise and a holy ghost dance of worship is about to
burst out of my heart.  I feel the Word  burning inside, like a fire shut up
in my bones, I'm trying to hold it in but right about now I'm helpless.
It's a JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY, but I'll speak it anyhow, His
praise shall continually be in my mouth!  Shout Oh daughter of Jerusalem!
Shout Oh bride of Christ, for thy King Cometh, He is Just and having Salvation!
HALLELUJAH TO THE KING OF KINGS!!! AND THE LORD OF LORDS!!!
AND HE SHALL REIGN, FOREVER AND EVER, HOW MAJESTIC IS HIS NAME!!!
O LORD, OUR LORD, THE IMMORTAL, INVISIBLBE, ETERNAL, THE ONLY WISE GOD!!!
JESUS!!! TO HIM BE HONOR AND GLORY FOREVER AND EVER!!! MY GOD!!!

I'm about to hear the trumpet sound, and I'm not ready to sit down just
yet. For yet is there still a praise left in me, a fight left in me, because
I still have the awesome power from on high inside of me!  It has sealed me
and MY KING COMETH to take his holy ghost to the place he has prepared.
Thank God for the blood of the Lamb, that has the power to keep me white
as snow, gleaming like the child of God that I am, shining as a partaker
of the divine nature of God Almighty God!

"You cannot take a bus.  You cannot take a boat.  You
have to have the POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST!!!"  NEW JERUSALEM, HERE I COME!!!
My God, I'm getting another flashback! "Do you know the man? Do you know,
do you know, do you know, do you know the man from Galilee?"  I do not know
when.  It could be tomorrow, could be next year, could be later than that, but
one of these old mornings, and it won't be very long, your gonna' look for
me, and I'll be going on home, going up to glory, to see JESUS face to face,
and then I'll shout, Death, where is thy sting, Death you are swallowed up
in victory!  Who shall separate me, from being caught up to meet him at the
rapture of the Church?  If God be for me, who can be against me?
IT WILL BE ALLRIGHT!!! WHEN WE MAKE IT TO THAT CITY IT WILL BE ALLRIGHT!!!
YEAH! HE THAT SHALL COME, SAID HE WILL COME,
AND HE WILL NOT TARRY LONG!!!  HE'S COMING BACK FOR ME!!!
RIDE ON KING JESUS, GOD ALMIGHTY GOD, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS,
AND HE SHALL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER, HOW MAJESTIC IS HIS NAAAAME, O LORD!!
