My pastor, Bro. John Koonce, says:

When studying the greek concerning the words as translated to "baptize" 
or "be baptized" or "* baptize *" the greek word used was always from the
root "BAPTIZO" which means to fully whelm someting (from what I've heard).

Interestingly enough, the root word for sprinkle is "RANTIZO".

The Bible when talking about Water Baptism only uses BAPTIZO and never ever
RANTIZO.
