Jesus WepT?

Here's a question for discussion:

I've been studying the story of when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. It
is said in John 11:35 JESUS WEPT For what reason:

1.) Just because Lazarus was dead? However, Jesus already knew Lazarus was
dead before he even got there. It never said that he wept then. The first
following verse 35 says: (John 11:36 KJV) Then said the Jews, Behold how he
loved him!

or

2.)Did Jesus weep because the people were almost blaming him for not being
there to save Lazarus from dying? Jesus was troubled when the people said
this. He was groaning within himself.

My vote would be for no. 2 because Jesus said in the beginning of the
chapter how that Lazarus 'slept' and he told Martha that "This sickness is
not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be
glorified thereby."

Whatcha think?
