SHE GOT IT!

Last night was our second home bible study with a young couple who attended
our Easter Service.  Keith and Penny have been so excited since attending
last Sunday that Keith invited his business partner and his wife to join us
last night.  Because of the intense hunger that I sensed, I moved from
Exploring Gods Word study to Rightly Dividing the Word study compiled by
Larry Smith.
For four hours we poured through the scripture, answering questions that
could have been seen as resistance.  The study being meant to be given in two
evenings, I intended to close for the night and return again.  The woman of
the visiting couple (Dean & Deena) stood to her feet and declared, "Your not
going any where until I know what it was that the Apostles taught."  We then
proceeded to read each account in the book of Acts where the Holy Ghost was
given.  After reading Acts 19, Deena, with tears in her eyes asked "Why
haven't I received this experience?"
Briefly I explained that seed had been sown tonight that had never been sown,
and that if she desired, we would pray with her at that moment, and that she
too would receive the same experience she just read about.  Kneeling around
the coffee table, at 11:45 pm, in no more than five minutes, she began to
speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave her utterance.  Tears of joy began
to flow by all who were there.  She and her husband have consented to be
baptized this coming Sunday.
