Pastor Dan:
We will never shed anyone's natural blood, so again the
answer is no.

Me:
True, but Jesus will "crush" these enemies with His Word.

Romans 12:19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I
will repay, saith the Lord.

The reason *WE* are to turn the other cheek is that it is
not OUR place to avenge ourselves. Jesus will do this FOR
us.

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth.

He has the right.

Matthew 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they
shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory.

Why would ALL mourn?

Revelation 16:16
And he gathered them together into a place called in the
Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air;
and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven,
from the throne, saying, It is done.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and
there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men
were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the
cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the
wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not
found.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven,
every stone about the weight of a talent: and men
blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the
plague thereof was exceeding great.

This is God pouring out HIS wrath and "repaying" these for
sheading the blood of the saints. These "saints" are those
that these men have killed BEFORE the rapture (great
tribulation) and those of the 144,000 they kill AFTER the
rapture (Jacob's trouble).

As for the TERM "rapture" not being in the Bible it is not.
There is however in 2 Thessalonians the term that means
"snatching away" so if you prefer, call it that. Paul says
that those "who are alive and remain" will be caught
up/snatched away. This word was "rapura" (off the top of
the head, not exact) I believe, in the Latin and was
changed to rapture in English. It means being "suddenly
and wholly caught away" in English AND Latin.

For those who do not think the Bible teaches the rapture I
say that when Paul describes a raising of the dead to
"stand up" on the Earth and then those that are alive and
remain (remain after what?) to be "caught up/snatched
away/raptura (?)" it sure sounds like what "we" call the
rapture to me.

The reason the post tribers think this cames at the end of
the outpouring of God's wrath, which they wrongly call the
"Great Tribulation" is that there is a "resurrection" at
the end of this period and they wrongly think that there is
of a necessity ONLY ONE resurrection of the righteous dead.

Lazarus was raised from the dead (resurrection) the
"saints" (dead Jews under the law) were raised from the
dead (resurrection) and many others.

Martha thought there was ONLY going to be ONE ressurrection
at the end of time:

John 11
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again
in the resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the
life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet
shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never
die. Believest thou this?

There is only one resurrection and Jesus is it but He has
called people from the dead before and will do so again and
I cannot find that there is ONLY one resurrection at the
last day, there is ONE then but I do not find that there is
ANY indication ANYWHERE that says that is the ONLY one.
