Bro. Jerry:
> In Acts the 25th chapter Paul defended himself. There's a
time when Christians have to take a stand.

Me:
Unless I'm missing something here this chapter is Paul
giving answer to the charges made against him. The
question was about taking physical action to protect ones
family.

Now that the topic is in the arena though, I have heard
this passage used to justify Christians going to court but
would like to point out that all Paul EVER did was answer
the charges brought AGAINST him.

Jesus said this would happen and that when it did we were
not to think up our defenses since He would provide these
for us by His Spirit.

I was driving home from church one night and some guy was
behind me and he thought I should be moving a little faster
and he was MAD! He hollered and carried on and said for me
to get out of the car. I tried to turn off but he stuck
right to my tail. The old me would have said "Enough is
enough and I did try to "get away" and what ever happened
would have happened.

I prayed and said "Lord, when this guy comes up to hit me
do you want me to roll the window down or would that
provoke him?" I had NO LONGER finished thinking this and
this guys truck turned into an alley like someone had
grabbed the wheel and he was gone.

This guy didn't know me from Adam. All I ask is what kind
of a testimony would I have to this man if he HAD hit me
and I defended myself and then let's say two weeks later he
sees me on TV saying "You have to trust in the Lord, He can
provide for you in every situation. There is nothing that
He cannot do since He is Lord of all creation."?

Are we to answer the false accusations and even say to
people "Are you REALLY interested in justice?" Sure, but
we are bought with a price and it is "Daddy's" place to
protect us.
