Why are you classified as a cult?

According to the Bible, there will be an evil world ruler who receives
the support of a religious leader the Bible calls the False Prophet.
This leader will be the head of what the book of Revalation calls the
Harlot Church. If you read about this church, you will find that it
sit in a city of seven hills. This must be Rome, so the harlot church
must be the Catholic Church, and therefore the false prophet would be
the pope.
With that kind of Biblical writeup, I feel that the Catholic Church is
the largest cult in the world. The Catholic Church sanctioned the
doctrine of the holy trinity, which contradicts the Biblical record
that says there is only one God. (See the excellent chart on this
subject at http://eli.wariat.org/upc/1-god.gif for scriptural evidence
of this.) With the power that the Catholic Church has and desires to
maintain, it is obviously in their best interest to accuse the Oneness
groups of being a cult, with their basis that they outnumber us, but
the Bible backs up our position, whereas the Catholic Church hid the
scriptures from the laiety for over a thousand years so that they
could control them with papal decrees instead of God's holy word.
Martin Luther split off from the Catholic church by denouncing certain
practices and beliefs and non-biblical, but he maintained a heritage
of much of what Catholicism taught. The Apostolic Pentecostal
churches, such as the UPC, the PAofW, the ALJC, etc. base their faith
on the Biblical account recorded in the book of Acts, not on any
heritage passed down through Catholicism then Lutheranism, then other
protestant churches. We are *NOT* a protestant denomination, we are
the historic church as started on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem
and documented in the 2nd chapter of the book of Acts.
Just because we are not a big in numbers as the Catholics or many
protestant churches that still worship a triune (three headed) Godhead
does not mean that we are wrong and a cult and that they are right.
Remember, the Catholic church denounced a round earth theory before
Columkbus approached Queen Isabella of Spain and asked for venture
capital for a trip to discover a new route to India. Well Columbus
may have been wrong to call the natives he found Indians, but he was
right about the round earth. That Catholic Church did not officially
change its stance on the flat earth until the last century. Now you
tell me who is a cult!
