Personal defense is TOTALLY different than protecting your
family, which we are REQUIRED to do by the Word of God.

If someone and myself enter into an argument or altercation,
it becomes my duty to try to talk ourselves out of it, clear
up any misunderstanding (I'm sure that's all it is), and try to
avoid any further confrontation with that person.

ON THE OTHER HAND, if we do something to provoke an
individual, and they retaliate in a physical way, I don't think
we have any right to ask the Lord to protect us...we deserve
exactly what we get!

YOUR FAMILY is your reponsiblity to provide for, to protect
and to love. If someone is a threat to your family, it is your
Christian duty to protect them with reasonable force. The law
of your city/state gives you that right, and you'll spend NO
TIME in jail for doing it (ok, maybe a night).

If someone breaks into your home at night, and you find them
hovering over your daughter, do you think you'd drop to your
knees and start trying to pray through??? I don't think so!!
