The work of the ministry, the five gifts, and an observation.

Eph 4:11
11	And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12
12	For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry,
for the edifying of the body of Christ:

In verse 11 there are the five fold ministry. In verse 12, the five fold
ministry is for - 
a. 	The perfecting of the saints,
b. 	the work of the ministry,
c. 	the edifying of the Body.


Eph 4:11
11	It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets,
some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

12	to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body
of Christ may be built up

In verse 12, the five fold ministry is for -
a. 	prepare the saints for works of service,
b. 	build up the Body.

The gifts of the five fold ministry is to build up the body of Christ
and to perfect the saints and to equip the saints to work in the
ministry.

I have been taught that the five fold ministry is for the perfecting of
the saints, to do the work of that ministry, to build up (edify) the
Body. It now occurs to me that these gifts are to be used to equip the
saints for the ministry, to bring them into the ministry that GOD calls
them into.

I am not sure whether this has been covered or not, and I don't know if
this has been seen from this view point.
