Brothers and Sisters,

In the interest of being more positive and less controversial,
here is a testimony.

The congregation I attend, Eva UPC, has been having some
tremendous Revival Services with Brother Steven Whisler as
guest speaker. During this 'Revival', which began in early May,
we have seen many wonderful works of God. Several people
have reported healings and we have seen more than a few
people born-again. After one service one of the sisters went
to tell a friend about it at a local hair salon (she happens to
know the owner). While she was telling the owner of the
marvelous things God was doing, a woman who was in a
tanning bed at the time overheard her. Later that day this
woman called the sister. She came to church with her that
night with her mother who has been ill. During the altar call
her mother went to the altar to be annointed and prayed for.
While she was being prayed for the preacher began to
speak a Word of Knowledge over the woman telling her that
the personal family problems she had been going through would
be taken care of by Jesus. As the preacher said these things,
the woman (from the tanning bed) who was sitting in the very
last pew with the sister mentioned earlier, grabbed the sister's
had and ran with her down the isle to the altar. The mother
received the Holy Ghost that night. Come to find out the woman
had received the Holy Ghost previously at a different church
but was not actively attending any congregation. You just never
know who will be affected when you witness.

On a more personal note, I was prayed over last night in service
also. For several years now I have experience a dramatic
hair loss. This might sound silly, but as a woman, especially
an apostolic woman, it has been sort of traumatic. When
my mother saw me last year (she lives in New Jersey, I live in
Alabama) after not seeing her in person for some time, she was
astounded. She guesses I have lost at between one quarter to
one half of my hair (mostly just in an overall thinning way). I am
not bald or anything though I do have a few smallish sort of
balding spots. My doctor says my hair loss is due to stress.
Anyway, last night we had been praying as a church for God
to give us victory in various areas. I have been seeking God
to reverse my problem. After the whole congregation marched
around the church, literally (ala 'walls of Jericho'), I felt
impressed that God was not only going to restore my hair but
also in a great way relieve the stress I have been experiencing.
When I went to the preacher to tell what God had spoken to
me, he prayed for me and told me to expect that my hair would
definitely return and be longer and more beautiful than it had
ever been before. I am standing in faith and speaking that
faith before you all, God is able and He is willing. Amen.
