reaching sinners

I don't now if this has been discussed before, but here goes.  I have a
friend who has come out to be that he is gay or bisexual.  This surprised
me because we grew up in the same UPChurch.  Anyways, I am concerned about
his salvation and relationship with God.  I was wondering did anyone have
any suggestions on how he can be reached?  Another I have a question about
is witnessing.  I am not antisocial, but I'm more comfortable talking to
people I know.  I guess my biggest fear is that I would approach a person
wrong about the message of Jesus.  Anymore suggestions?
