Lion of Judah!

Greetings,

	I was at the Bible School yesterday and we were talking about
the various title attributed to Jesus Christ. It was an excellent
session and we were all having a great time with those titles. One
of them being the "Lion of Judah". I was taught a couple of years
back the reason for this title. It had something to do with the blessing
Jacob pronounced upon Judah and even before that, the position Judah
took upon himself to be responsible over Benjamin and the story goes
on... Does anyone here has some good understanding of the background
for this title? I think it could be interesting and rewarding to know.
