Mixed Races

Boy I'm probably going to take a slaying for this.....

Once an interracial marraige situation occured at a church where I was and I
just set my mind to it and decided....I am going to get in that book and
prove these interracial marraiges wrong once and for all....I am going to
get in that book and find scripture and lay it all on the line....

Well....I found nothing....the only thing at all was accusations amde
against Moses for marrying an Ethiopian woman...and God never repremanded
Moses for that.  SO....conclusion...If I were a pastor or like person and
someone came up to me and asked about an interracial marraige...I would have
to say that in most cases I would COUNSEL against it...because of the
societal pressures involved and the societal stigmas placed on the
kids...(which are admittedly less and less these days) Marriage is hard
enough these days without any added pressures or without marrying into
families with such differing cultures....But, Biblically, I could NOT use
the words "wrong" or "sin".  Unless someone finds something in that Bible
that I do not...I cannot call it sin...and the only reason I can call it a
bad decision at all is because of pressures that are sure to come from others...

I would definitely prefer that my daughter marry inside her race...but I
have to admit that I wonder how much of that is from what I have been tuaght
all of my life and I sincerely pray that if I have a wrong spirit that God
will help me to see as HE sees...
