Well, when I am purchasing something, I am not generaloly trying to
make a political statement; I am trying to get what I want or need at
the best price.  If you want me to switch from MCI, show me a better
deal in terms of the monetary cost!

If I was worried about political statements, I would stop eating Oreo
cookies, since they are made by RJR/Nabisco, which is the evil tobacco
company.  Yet no other company offers a better cookie of that type for
the same price, or the same cookie for a better price, so I eat them
anyway.  I do not feel like I am subsidizing tobacco in so doing.

Likewise, I do not feel that I should stop buying fuel for my
automobile at any gas station that also sells cigarettes, beer, lottery
tickets, and dirty magazines.  Indeed, I do not even know of any such
morally pure gas station.  What's a driver to do?

How about groceries?  Do you know of any grocery store that does not
sell cigarettes, beer, wine, etc.?  We gotta eat!
