Fingerprinting required by banks

There are some banks in our area that have begun to do this,
although mine does not. Supposedly it is to help aid in the prosecution
of
those who cash forged or stolen checks and also may be using multiple
phony ID's. It is a sure-fire way to match the cashed check with a
particular individual.
