I think such a pastor is in need of counselling, but indeed, I see
this all the time, especially with older pastors, and pastors from the
South.  Don't get me wrong; I love the South.  These men grew up in an
environment where seperatism was considered a necessity, even if
prejudice was considered wrong.  

The seperatist viewpoint is not intended to be prejudicial, but it
does believe that blacks should not mix with whites.  This has long
since surpassed logic, as it has been a cultural thing for several
hundred years.  The ideas can also be seen in horse and dog breeding,
where it is considered wrong to mix breeds, even though they are of
the same species and can bear fertile offspring (fruit that bears
fruit).

I do need to point out, however, that the extrapolation of these ideas
leads one naturally to the concept of Arian supremecy, Nazism, and the
restoration of the civilization of Atlantis by the evolution of the
"superman".  This is at the heart of the New Age beliefs becoming so
dominant now days.
