Speaking from experience...

If I had listened to my pastor, I can tell you I would not 
have had many of the headaches and heartaches of the 
last four years.  

I went outside of my pastor's counsel and married 
someone he had strong reservations about (mind 
you, we were both Oneness Apostolics at the time).

Sometimes pastors have a wisdom from God that 
we may not have ourselves.

And sometimes love is both blind and deaf.
