Bro. Moon what you stated about the Deacons being there to oversee the
church is not as far as I can see scriptual.  In the new testamenst
church there was a ministereal, counsel which the preachers had to
answer to.See Acts 11:  (Equilivent to our UPC Org.) but the people did
not tell the preacher what to do.

When it comes to ministering to the needs of the sick and elderly,  who
sead that was the job of the paster?

The elders who fired the preacher should have been taking cair of that
deuty,  "If there is any sick amoung you let them call for who"

look at Acts 6:1-7  "it is not reason that we should leave the word of
God to wait tables"

I dont have time now to get inot a full discorse but will after church

besids the Deffinion of a Decon is   "A servent"  

Church Govt. is not a new subject. But God does have a chain of
athority... the Decons are not above the Paster.  At least not
scripturaly.
