I've been following this in the background, and did the research. The word
"forehead" is +not+ in italics in the Amplified Bible, nor any of the 14
other New Testament versions I have. My Hebrew-Greek-English Interlinear
Bible is very clear on the origin of texts, and it raises no questions
about Rev. 14:9. The Comma Johananian is no problem, as it was clearly
added by Cyprian in his Eistle LXXII To Jubaianus, Concerning the Baptism
of Heretics. However, nothing I can find even hints that "forehead" does
not belong in Rev. 14:9. No commentaries, no linguistic books, nothing I
have calls this passage into question.
