>how did he get to be your pastor in the first place unless you
decided to let him?

A friend of mine had been taking me to church, and I recieved the Holy
Ghost and was baptized in this partcular pastor's church. I didn't have any
where else to go. I trusted him, and I'm glad I did. Yeah, I guess I did
let him, but at the time, I didn't have any other options. I wouldn't be
here today had I not let him pastor me.

>I was talking about changing if his pastoral preferences
that are not mandated by the Bible are such that you cannot agree with
them. This could be something like not wearing red, when you have a
requirement to wear red, such as a uniform for your job, etc.

I guess this would be a question for submission then, would it not? I
hardly think that a pastor telling one of his flock not to wear red is
realistic. But since you said it. . . my priority is not my job. If my
pastor tells me not to wear red, I trust his judgement. I trust this man
enough because I know who he listens to. I know where he got his wisdom. I
am after all a dumb sheep. Why would I do something as trivial and petty
as changing churches over a color? Is my God not bigger than that? There
are plenty of other jobs out there..

I am not meaning to frustrate you or anything, so please don't be frustrated
with me. Aren't we supposed to be lifting each other up? I am almost sorry
I brought this up, but I think that it's a pretty important issue. You'll
probably disagree with me, but there it is. . ..
