>But I would not blindly follow anyone that says this is what God said so
do it. Look at all the "so-called" Christian groups out there! I use the
Bible as a Guide to make sure the shepherd is following the word.
Did I say to blindly follow anyone?? NOoooooooo, I didn't. I know what
kind of groups are out there. HElloooooo, cults comitting suicide....
I did say that if my pastor, who has been annointed to preach the Word of
God, is listening to God and searching scripture, then by all means, I will
obey.
>This is where I have a problem with preachers saying certain activities is
right or wrong. The Bible makes it clear what is right and wrong.
Yes, the Bible does make it clear what is right and wrong. However, there
are some things like watching TV for example or going to movies as another
that are not in the Bible. My pastor preaches against this. Now, let's not
get into an argument about TV and movies. I am using this as an example,
ok? I don't have a Bible in front of me, and I don't have the verse
memorized, so don't yell at me for not kowing where it is. But I know that
the Bible does say to keep our minds and our heart pure from anything that
is not of God. My pastor knows that if I watch TV or go to movies, then my
heart and my mind will not be pure and clean. Therefore, he is watching out
for my best interests in saying that he would rather I not participate in
these activities. Again, my pastor knows a whole lot more than I do, and as
long as he isn't preaching false doctrine, then I will listen to him.
