>For instance when I am told that the church must go through the seven years

And that is a statement that I, as a posttribulationist, have had to deal
with constantly...I dont Know who THEY are but THEY have said this to every
person of any differing belief that I have met so far. First...and again,
might I add..IF we are to go through the tribulation then we are those
saints that are sealed and will not be affected by Gods wrath that is poured
out on this earth...God will NEVER pour His wrath out on his people..on the
contrary I believe that, just as in Egypt...The wrath that visits this earth
in that time is FOR the church and as satan picks up his fight in his last
waining days and pulls out all the punches so does God move as never before
for His people and the churchs finest hour is yet to come. And finally, at
the seventh trump (vials, bowls and trumpets being concurrent) we will rise
and meet Him in the air as he comes to pour out the fierceness of His
wrath...without mixture...on those who destroy the earth. So....I do not
hold to what you have been told by others...I DO believe that this day WILL
be her finest hour and that Gods church will lean and depend on Gods mighty
power in that day more than they do now or perhaps ever have....and He will
be there when we call...

 Such a statement
>tells me that until those alive at the time go through the tribulation the
>church is not pure and thus the salvation of all the generations before are
>dependent upon those alive at the time going through the period. It also
>says to me that the blood of Jesus is insufficient to purify the church. The
>implication is that salvation is earned. I don't believe it nor do I think
>you would believe it either.

(see above) You are correct in that belief...but if you were to tell those
in the church in China that we will not suffer persecution and tribulation
they would be very upset that what they are going through is NOT
tribulation...tribulation has come already to many lands...and should it
ever place its ugly filthy feet on american soil I dread to see how many
would fall to the wayside...it would be quickly seen how many follow Him for
the loaves and the fishes...incidently pre trib is not a very popular
message in China...:)

If the church is going to go through the seven
>years of tribulation then there is a logical reason why it must.

Why? The church of 70 AD suffered terribly...but there was no explanation
necessary for that...no one had to explain to the saints killed during the
inquisition why they had to suffer persecution...no one explained it to the
Russians 70 someodd years ago....The tribulation IS coming...it will
happen...I can understand why a pre or mid tribber would want it explained
to them...they have been taught differently and want to know why they have
to go through this time that they had thought that they would not...but
there is no biblical prohibition to Gods people entering that time
period...the mid tribbers already have us half way into it...what
prohibition is there that we would enter that time of tribulation?
