Sis:
> You guys are not going to believe this. My friend just
mentioned some TV evangelists on that TBN Christian
network. Okay I have to ask. What do you guys think about
TV preachers? I have watch those shows before and I
think it's a joke.
Me:
2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times
shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more
than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and
lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with
divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of
the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these
also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate
concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall
be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
I watched Benny Hinn get up on stage and "channel"
Katherine Coolman. It was "spooky." I then watched as
various preachers debate about this and their conclusion
was that it was "of God."
Paul Crouch, who has been baptised in the name of Jesus
Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost, BTW was on TV and
was "cussing" and on another occasion said that if God
didn't "get" us Oneness people he would "shoot" us himself
(God got us, HALLELUJAH!). You will see more of this kind
of thing.
Then there is my "personal" favorite:
Galatians 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other
gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you,
let him be accursed.
and:
Matthew 24:5
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and
shall deceive many.
Remember that "christ" meant "anointed" in greek and was
capitalized by the translators. Where have we heard this
before?
