about TV preachers? I have watch those shows before and I
 think it's a joke. >>

Me:
I included this from a post by Sister Cory, she is the
author.

Bro. Fitzgerel:
> I happy to say that I haven't watched any of them TV
Holloywood Preachers on the Hellavision. There false
doctrine reaches into all of the homes accross our fair
country. Its just as vile as all the sex and violence
that the TV spews out also.

Me:
I have to disagree! The false doctine they spew is MUCH
WORSE that the sex and violence. I don't watch the sex and
violence but there are many in my church that are being
carried away with the doctrines of the men and I have
watched to see what I am up against. I then pick their
arguments "apart." I don't recomend this to jsut anyone as
these Snakes are very subtle and sometimes I look to heaven
and say "Lord, I know that is wrong but I
cannot tell "exactly" where it is wrong. Then He shows me.

I also watch the animal shows which are not bad once you
get around the theory of evolution being shoved down your
throat every five minutes. News is cool, most of the time.
After I have heard their slanted veiws and then compared
them with the slanted veiws of the "religious" news I
"usually" have most of the facts.

Since you all brought it up I see much hipocracy in this NO
TV stuff. How many don't have a TV but still listen to
secular (country, pop, so called "Christian" music) radio?
If the movie you watch on your "monitor" is not directly
Glorifying God then it is no different than the other
things on TV. I read that someone on the list veiwed the
movie "The Robe." Talk about false doctrine! How many get
the blasphemus Disney movies for their kids?

Give me a break!

What IS there out there that you can watch whether it is
"live" or not? When you get right down to it if is all
lies. These people are standing there in front of a camera
"pretending" to be something they are not, right? You
can't read novels because these are written lies, right?
You can't tell jokes or use illustrations, more lies.

I don't watch the sex and the violence. I change the
channel or turn it off. I like the science shows, they
give me an opportunity to discuss the Christian veiw of
nature with other people. I like to stay informed and I
like to look at the animals and the scenes from Africa and
the like.

To close I leave you with this. I was at a friends house
and they were watching a show and my friend could see that
I was "not enjoying" the broadcast and said "What's the
matter Tim? You "used" to like this program." I said
"Once you have removed the sexual inuendo (sp!), the
pleasure of looking at a half naked woman, the comedy at
someone elses expense and the out and out blasphemy, what
do you have left?" He thought for a moment and said
"Umm... The title?"

The point is that I had changed so that **I** no linger
found these things entertaining, GLORY TO GOD! When you
take the TVs from the homes you have a bunch of people who
don't watch the bed stuff because they are not able but
whne God gets a hold of you and changes you, you don't
watch because IT HOLDS **NOTHING** for you anymore.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.
