There I go again.... THAT's NOT WHAT I MEANT!
My fingers have been suffering from dyslexia these days.... sorry.
Turns out the ordeal lasted all of about 8 hours.
The robber evidently found a hiding place up in a tree (way way up
there) where he went unnoticed from the authorities for about 3 or
4 hours when a policeman just *looked up* and saw him. When he
was discovered, the FBI, State Police, County Sherrif's, and City
Police absolutely surrounded the area so that he couldn't escape.
A few rounds of *rubber bullets* (designed to stun the suspect) were
fired into the tree. It all ended when the suspect eventually took
his own life up there in the tree. They (the authorities) had to
cut power off to the subdivision as he was up in the top of the tree
where the power lines were when they sent the bucket of a cherry
picker up there with two policefolk to check on him after he hadn't
moved for many many minutes. They lowered him down in a body bag.
As it turns out, he was *refused* by a loan officer at that Key
Bank for a loan as he had just moved into the area and was a new
resident. His intentions were of a vengeful nature ... so says
the authorities.
The getaway accomplices that never met back up with the suspect that
killed himself in the tree haven't been located yet and are now thought
to have gone over into Ohio.
