Now *this* is something I have seen/felt before.
I recently observed a service like this. The spirit was
moving powerfully and the preacher
was closing his message. A sister in the church began
to pray out loud. Musicians didn't really know what to do,
so they got quiet. The preacher realizing she was praying
and not giving a tongues, begin to speak again
and make the altar call. (This was not the problem...what
follows is) It was at this point, a brother in the church breaks
into a tongues. Everyone got quiet but the pastor who spoke
up and began a song.

In all my life that I have been serious about church, I have
always noticed a interesting thing. *Everytime* a tongues
and interpretation was about to happen, I could feel the
spirit move in almost like a soft, hushing type move.
Everytime they have happened, I have discerned that they
were real, and the Holy Ghost confirmed it. This one time
though, when the brother spoke up, not only did I not feel it
was true, I also did not feel a Holy Ghost confirming
of them. As you described it, it was as if someone had just
taken their thumb and pushed down the rising dough.

That same person has done this same thing in the past.
The service was over, but a few lingered around the altars to
pray. He gathered everyone together, made a few comments,
and wanted to pray for everyone. While prayer was going on,
he began to speak in tongues. About a minute later
he repeated himself. During this time, I had a major awkward
feeling and pulled back and observed the rest of the going on.

After the praying was done, and people began to disperse,
he came to me and was chatting. He made one comment
which has stuck with me and made me realize why I have been
having so many discernments. This person stated, "That makes
me so angry when nobody interprets a tongues. I KNOW we have
interpreters in this church! Very sad!" Not only was his tongues and
interpretations 'man', but he was also having a totally wrong spirit
about
 it all together.
