Thieving Louisiana Oneness Folks!

I, too in my research have heard such stories, although the perspective was
that of Apostolics. They saw it as a form of "spoiling the Egyptians". In
some cases it appears to have been the case of a minister bringing the
Oneness message to a church and that church deciding to leave the AOG.

Besides that, the whole question of "stealing" church buildings is
interesting. The Apostles didn't have that problem of course. There has been
a fair bit of "transferring" of church ownership in New Brunswick this last
while.

It has been interesting to me that when this occurs the focus appears to be
on the building, rather than the local body which is being divided. Many
orgs, such as the UPC, or the Church of God have developed legal means to
attempt to ensure that they retain ownership of property, etc. But I know of
no one who has tried to do this with saints.

Perhaps Bro. Drost, being here in NB also, and having more years of
experience than myself would have a better perspective on this than myself.
It just seems sad that this man would be upset about what happened in LA 70+
years ago, and I wnder if the same thing will happen here in NB.

In Christ,

Frank Vandenburg
