Not Just The "Other" Pentecostals

Sister Anneliese:
I think Bro. Steve is referring to Charismatic Pentecostals/AOG/etc,
who
baptize in the trinity. It is their group (which is larger than ours,

numerically I think) that is "officially" defined as "orthodox"
Pentecostal
by most other groups. Apostolic Pentecostals, OTOH, baptize in
Jesus'
name. There is a Trinity Pentecostal Church near my house and also
an
Anointed Church of the Living God. Both believe in Pentecost, but
baptize
in the Trinity. Does that make more sense?

ME:
I understood it...I just thought that saying that Trinitarian
Pentecostals/Charasmatics baptize according to the formula laid out
in Matt 28:19 was unfair to the Bible. Becuase, in all actuality,
the formula (When solved...thanks brother Robert) is equal to the
formula presented in Acts 2:38. If a person is baptized in the name
of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, he is baptized in the
name of Jesus. But, if a person is baptized in the titles given to 2-
3 persons (depending on who you ask) persons in the Trinity, he is
not baptized according to any type of baptism presented in the Bible.
"One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism" ;-) Thanks for trying to clear
the muddy waters...

I affirm the biblical foundation for a relationship with God: We are
to turn away from doing wrong, be baptized in the name of Jesus in
accordance with scriptural examples, receive the marvelous gift of
the Holy Spirit, and embrace a daily walk with Him. (See Acts 2:38)
