Dear sis Evelyn and the rest of H-F:

Her sentiments which I copied above have been on my heart for quite some
time.  I even ended my post titled "Being Apostolic" with the concern as to
what our posts would appear to those which are "not of the faith" but may
be lurking, reading the archives site (which is how I first got interested
in H-F almost 2 years ago!)

I was under the impression that H-F was to be where Apostolics could gather
together and share the Word of God, prayer requests, jokes (Bro Tyler's
infamously funny Nyuk-Nyuks), and other topics as would be of interest to
the group.

There have been times in the past few weeks that my husband and I have
considered not receiving the H-F posts anymore.  I have already discussed
this with one of the moderators.  

I encourage every Bother and Sister to pray before sending their posts.
Please examine the spirit with which you are sending your post.  Are you
just trying to "nurse a hurt" where someone stepped on your toes? Are
really "defending the faith" in LOVE?  GOD does not need to be defended.
God given convictions, those "gray areas" where scripture does not include
the topic (i.e., neck ties, open-toed shoes, etc [notice my sarcasm here])
need to be left with the individual and his/her Pastor's teaching!

What ever happened to having scripture in your posts????  I remember about
a year ago, that the moderators had stated that we needed to have a verse
or two in our posts, to help keep them tempered (my paraphrase of the
subject).
