I think, Bro. Bill, that you have effectively summed up Bro. Steve's
position also :-).
All he is asking (in a very long, drawn out way) is whether it is
*possible* for there to be other avenues of salvation. And if so, why are
we so quick to condemn all others to hell and refuse to call them
Christian?
Personally, I have to stick to the Acts 2, 8, 10, 19 scenario because that
is what the Holy Ghost tells me is the truth. When someone asks me what *I
believe* people must do to be saved, I tell them. Also, why adhere so
strongly to one doctrine if there could be others? Why have faith in that
*method* at all if there are others? It appears that if God allowed many
paths to heaven, it would be clearly outlined in scripture (all the
possibilities). I simply don't see this myself.
But, that does not rule out the *possibility*...see?
