So, Bro. Starcher, you believe that the plan of salvation that the Apostolics teach is
salvation ... but only to the Apostolics. So the Billy Graham prayer is salvation to the
Evangelicals? and sacrament fulfillment is salvation for the Catholic?
This is were we are very different (inspite of what was written earlier about my summarizing
your beliefs). When witnessing to people I have a goal that the Lord will use the seeds that I
have planted to lead them to repentance, to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and to
recieve the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues. This is my goal because I
beleive this is the narrow way.
I have had many questions in the adult classes I have taught, the youth and SS classes, Bible
Studies, the IRC and through my web page about salvation of people that have not had the
Pentecostal Expereince. I dont want to see anyone that is devoted to the Lord not see heaven. I
hate the idea that someone that leads a righteous life, loves the Lord and is faithful to a
church might not see those streets of gold. But the fact is that Jesus Himself tells us that
these things will happen.
....not all that say Lord, Lord....
...the blind follow the blind...
6 of the 7 letters to the churches in Revelations
warnings of false doctrines, other gospels, false Christs.
all of the above refer to teachings that there are/will be errant paths that look right and
lead people astray. We have a clear cut example that follows all the Bible, it does not require
"multiple paths" or diversity (which kinda makes me wonder about "One Lord, one faith, one
baptism, "). The arguement of ommission of details is weak since all details recorded are
consistant. Saying that the ommission of the recording of details is the ommission of these
details is absurd. Do you know how long the Book of Acts would be if Luke record all the
details all the time. The Basics were known, so he did not record them. Sorta like we snip out
or delete previous posts for brevity, we dont need all the details over and over.
Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation
wherewith ye are called,
Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
Just a whole lota direction in the Bible that leads to one path, narrow way, straight gate, one
God, one faith, unity for there this diversity to be right. IMHO
Lord Bless,
