Sis Yohnk writes:
We are told explicitly what to preach in Luke 24:47 " And that
repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name
beginning at Jerusalem."
I write:
Exactly that is what Peter was doing as he was preaching to the
Cornelius crowd in Acts chapter 10:43 "To him give all the prophets
witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall
receive remission of sins." That is what Peter was doing fulfilling
Luke 24:47, the problem with what you write is that we like it all to
fit exactly in our theological box, but you can't box God in nor fit
it with logic. This happens in all kinds of churches and
denominations. Just when we have it all figured out God comes along
and breaks up the logical conclusion we have. Sis. Yohnk he fills
them with the Holy Ghost before they are baptized in Jesus Name, see
God can do what he wants to because he can save us when He wants to.
After all He is God. These folks were resurrected before they were
buried, wow. If somebody receives the Holy Ghost as these folks did,
then all we can do is be surprised like Peter was and say next step,
have these folks get baptized as he did in Acts 10. Let us not try
to figure God out, he can do it whatever way he wants to and that is
the problem we humans try to figure Gods ways with human logic and it
doesn't work
You write:
In Vs. 47 there is no mention of the Holy Ghost because repentance and
baptism in Jesus name is the prerequisite to the gift which Acts 2:38
states. In other words, if you fulfill repentance and baptism, God
WILL fill you with the Holy Ghost. We are to preach repentance and
baptism in Jesus name and God will fill with the Holy Ghost.

I write:
The only problem with this statement is that it doesn't always work
that way and in that order, God fills people with the Holy Ghost
before they are baptized, as He did to the Cornelius crowd. So
baptism in Jesus Name is not a prerequisite to the gift of the Holy
Ghost as you state and as you say Acts 2:38 says. God has no
particular order to do this. Please explain to me how this can be?
