Steve Starcher actually wrote:

"A lot of Apostolics are grimacing at your statement that Acts 2:38 has
"crystallized" to represent the New Birth for all Apostolics."

I do not grimmace at the suggestion that Acts 2:38 presents the New
Birth for some members of the Apostolic community. I have seen people
"born again" following Acts 2:38. I have baptized people in Jesus name
who emerge from the water receiving the Holy Ghost and speaking in
tongues. I do grimmace at the suggestion that this is the faith of all
Apostolics. As Brother Robison has pointed out, Acts 2:38 has always
been subject to varying interpretations by the Apostolic community.
This diversity was present at the founding of the United Pentecostal
Church and continues today. Why is this diversity, once recognized and
accepted, now ignored and denied?

God Bless!
