This post sorta confused me, you stated that we should believe in the salvation
of non-Apostolics and your proof is that there has been other salvation
doctrines amoung Apostolics that is now ignored? I thought your contention was
originally that Apostolic should accept other denoms as saved since we only use
one perspective of Christ and have Apostolic salvation, not what "Apostolic
salvation" was. It seems that either way you do not believe that Repentance,
Baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost is the plan of
salvation, but a way to salvation. In my opinion this is not Apostolic, but more
Charismatic.

There has also been some contention about the keys given to Peter....are they
the knowledge of Christ or the Acts message?

Well looking at the scripture (quoted below) we see that Peter knows who Jesus
was (vs 16) and that Jesus states that on this rock (knowledge of Christ) He
will build His churuch (vs 18) and then Jesus states that " I will give unto
thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven" note the "I will" which implies that
Peter did not have them, so the keys must be more than the knowledge of Jesus.
Jesus goes on to state that whatever Peter binds or looses on earth is bound or
loosed in heaven. We have two examples of Peter preaching to people that
received salvation and both (Acts 2 and Act 10) the same experince is seen. Now
why would anyone question the message that Peter (whom Jesus gave the keys) and
look to find plans that deny the plan that Peter laid out.

<a pause for thought ;o)  >

Why, because man wants the easy way, man too often listens to the greatest liar
there ever was or ever will be. Many of these false beliefs are from the same
system of philosophy that gave us the trinity. Man wants less responsibilty,
accountability and yet more power and freedom. Man is carnal and will not see
the simple spiritual truths with a carnal mind ( I know I was there for years ).
So do I just play footsies with the false doctrines, with people that deny the
very Word of God because of "diversity"....no I read a different meaning into
"one accord" and a different meaning into the warnings of false doctrines.

Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the
living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in
heaven.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I
will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
