ACQUITTED
"Not guilty." The verdict is in! The decision has been ¨made. The verdict
will stand against any and all evidence which ¨can now be presented by anyone.
No new evidence can be produced ¨which will warrant re-opening the case.
A man or woman can be as guilty as sin itself, but if the ¨verdict declares
him to be innocent, he is a free person, who can ¨never be accused again of
that same crime. FREE!
You and I both know that innocent people have been de¨clared guilty by the
courts of our land, and have been forced to ¨pay a debt to society for crimes
of which they are not guilty.
That is because the courts of our land are flawed with ¨the frailties of
humanity.
For the same reason, guilty people have been declared ¨innocent by the flawed
courts.
But what about the court of Heaven, where Jesus Christ ¨sits as the sole
magistrate? There is no flaw in the decisions ¨which He makes.
When a repentant sinner turns to Jesus for mercy-- look ¨what happens!
Jesus made provision on the Cross for our GUILT to be ¨placed on HIS ACCOUNT,
and His RIGHTEOUSNESS to be placed on OUR ¨ACCOUNT.
That is exactly what happens when we call on Jesus for ¨His Mercy. Though we
are guilty as sin itself, when the verdict ¨of Heaven declares us to be
innocent, we are free from all guilt.
Isn't that wonderful?
