I think when I first tried it, I did it with a pencil as well.

Then to check my work, I wrote a quick perl progrm that'd remove
the whitespace, commas, periods, and any other type of keyboard
punctuation.  Then it'd change each input line to lowercase whereby
it'd then compare the input line to a book of the bible as stored
in an array.  If it found a book, it'd change it's occurance to
UPPERCASE in that particular line.  It'd go through the rest of
the books in the event that there were more than one book on a 
line.  When there were no more bible books on a line, it'd print
the line as it has changed with the FOUND books printed in UPPERCASE
letters.  It'd proceed all of the way through the document until it
was done with the whole thing.  I then checked my pencil scratches
with my output and found they were in complete agreement.

Programming.... a wonderful thing.  It prolly took me longer to 
write and test the perl script to do this very thing than it took
to locate all of the books using a pencil and recognizing them all
by eyesight.
