In today's society being loving and involved doesn't mean knowing what
is going on in the child's life; it means the parent knows 3+ friends
and the class schedule.
Well I had rifles, shotguns, archery equipment, swords/knives, and other
"dangerous" things from age 8(in my room from age 10). I wouldn't have
misused one of those items for two reasons: 1) I liked being able to sit
down and 2) I didn't want them taken away!
Want to stop the insanity? NO MORE STINKING LAWS. Let/make the parents
responsible for their children again; stop blaming the objects - blame
the offender; bring back the idea of _punishment_for_wrong_doing_
(a.k.a. Christian ideals).
