First, the bible tells us to follow the old paths
Also, to come out from among them ( the world) and be separate.
Truth is important, and the truth is that if we seek after God and His
righteousness, which is not only an outward display but an inward cleansing
then all things, including outward behavior shall be added.
In other words, If we  try to be Christlike and follow scriptures we will
have no use for the "adornments" of the world.
