I would like to share my testimony with you.. for God's Word is clear on
this matter and I have seen His Truth confirmed in my experience..
Repentance alone is NOT the complete work of Salvation! it is merely a
door, it is the beginning... it is an acknowledgement of our sinfulness and
guilt before a Holy God, a godly sorrow and contrition for sin, and a
decision of our volition (submitting our wills to HIM) to forsake sin... it
is a change of mind, heart, and direction... Bible Salvation includes the
following elements: (1) repentance, (2) faith, (3) baptism (water) in Jesus
name for the remission of sins, and (4) baptism of the Spirit~speaking in
other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance.. SEE Acts 2:38,39;
John 3:5

Being filled with the Spirit and baptized with the Spirit are synonymous...
with the exception of Ephesians 5:18 where Paul is contrasting being under
the influence of wine with being continuallly under the influence of the
Spirit.. another words the believers at Ephesus had received the gift of
the Holy Ghost at some point in the past and the Apostle Paul was exhorting
them to continue cooperating with the Spirit, being under His control and
influence, always submissive to His promptings.. AMEN

I know that my life has never been the same since I have received the
precious gift of the Holy Ghost.. where before; even after repentance and
performing (the easy believism or tenets of the Social Gospel~ ie. accept
Jesus as Lord and invite Him into your heart..voila! WELCOME TO THE FAMILY
OF GOD!!) I lived in a continual state of condemnation because I still did
NOT have the POWER to live HOLY and overcome Sin on a daily basis. Also
much of my understanding was darkened for I did not yet have the Spirit of
Truth to lead and guide me into all Truth.. even as Jesus had many things
to speak unto His disciples at one point in time (before that had received
His Spirit) for they could NOT bear them then... God, by His Spirit has
become my counselor and instructor and leads me into progressive revelation
of the  Truth of His Word... I would strongly encourage you to pray and
seek the Lord with all your heart and read through the book of Acts again
and again until you come away with a revelation that will change you
forever..
