Apostolic Life Church is buying some land!!!

After meeting in a motel conference room for four years, we voted last
week to purchase an 8.44 acre lot on the edge of town in east Urbana.

Land around here is expensive, so we got a good deal on this at $88,000
(or USD 88,000 for ya Europeans on this list ;-).  We had $10,000 saved
up in our building fund, and in the past two weeks we've raised another
$10,000, and we're trusting the Lord for the rest so we can pay CASH
for this piece of land so we can begin building next spring.  Y'all
think He can do it???

In the meantime *ahem* we are also arranging for financing;  Pastor
Roger's wife just happens to work in the mortgage department at the
bank so that certainly can't hurt.  Sister Howe in our church is the
Realtor handling the sale, and she's pledged the full amount of the
commission to the purchase of the land.

We're really excited about this and everyone in the church is in full
agreement that the land we're looking at is in the Lord's plan for us.

The youth are really excited because most of them live within two miles
of the lot we've agreed to purchase.  Bro Kevin is really excited
because we'll have someplace to park the church vans besides his front
yard :-)  Bro Randy is excited because he won't have to keep the sound
equipment in his garage anymore \o/

Whenever we've switched to a larger meeting place, we have immediately
grown to fill the space we're in, so we're expecting great things in
terms of revival!!
