I agree that the burning of black churches is an outrage, but it is
not because they are black, but rather because they are churches. The
burning of white churches would likewise be an outrage.
The Message From vknelson@webex.com (Valencia King Nelson) was frought
with political undercurrents advocating support for President Clinton.
First off, I believe that the posting was primarily political, and
thus out of place for this list. Second, I believe that President
Clinton knows exactly what we believe and he has thumbed his nose
flagrantly at it. He will have to answer to God. We have discussed
his presence at a number of major gatherings of UPC functions, and we
see no change in his behaviour.
I am not condemming him for Whitewater, or any of the possible
killings potentially associated with that scandal, as he has not even
been formally accused and indighted by a grand jury, nor found guilty
by a jury of his peers,, but I will state that any person capable of
defying God as he has done could also be capable of involvement in a
scandal such as Whitewater, and of murder to cover up the tracks it
left. Such a person could also be capable of actually having black
churches burned to create an environment where he could use the
situation to manipulate the black vote.
Think about it. Think twice! Look at his performance through God's
eyes -- in the light of the Bible, and in the light of the truth we
all know he has been shown personally by our own ministers.
Bro. Mangun has been in the White House to counsel with President
Clinton, so I feel sure that our president has heard and understood
the truth; he simply ignores it!
