And this includes bringing the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and the engrafted WORD which *IS* able to save souls to a lost a dying
world.

Spiritual abortions are those souls not yet living that are allowed to
slip into the fires of hell by a complacent and unbelieving church, or
worse, by those who are so comitted to POWERLESSNESS that they REFUSE
to reprove error, and will not tech, afraid of making a commotion.

Notice the prayer of the Apostles:

"And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy
servants, that with all  boldness they may speak thy word," - Acts
4:29

M.D. Treece, in his superlative exegesis of _ACTS Volume 1_ clarifies
this saying that the apostles prayed not for NEW boldness, but for
CONTINUING boldness. These were the men that had appeared to turn the
world upside down. REMEMBER, the Holy Ghost which they had received
had been in existance since before the beginning of time, but NOW it
was resident in men who woul hazard their lives for the love of the
name of JESUS.

The Apostles knew that any reluctance or decrease in the boldness of
proclaimation would be received and interpretted as a backing away
from the convictions and doctrine which had come into this world in
fire.

As much as some like to think otherwise, we are NOT "Children of Azuza
Street", we are children of the "Upper Room", but the upper room was
NOT re-opened later on the day of Pentecost for special services.
Rather, the Apostles obeyed the commission to Go Into All the World
and preach the gospel. If there are some advicating a retreat from
this commission or a determination to compromise with the forces that
think of God as one who does NOT provide meaningful revelation, and
who is NOT the head of a victorious church, then theirs are voices of
division, dischord, and confusion. Leave them to be judged of the
Lord, and procede in conquest, doubting nothing.

Prepare the heart, PREACH, HEAR, BELIEVE, Commit and ACT, RECEIVE, and
POSSESS. 

We must not wait for signs of acceptance to believe that the gospel we
preach and the doctrine we teach are all powerful, and needed by EVERY
soul. The WORD of God is sufficient to determine the standard. God
looks for hearts that are CONVINCED that God will do what He says.

I gave up thinking about getting Him to go my way. He's just going to
go His way. best to quit yourselves like men, take up your cross, put
on the whole armour of God, and fight the fight.

That sure beats getting slain in the valley of indecision.
